BBC CHILDREN IN NEED 2003

On Friday 21st November 2003 what we believe to be a 'FIRST' happened at our event in Bristol.

A 'DUET' between a former Fame Academy student from the class of 2002 and a former Fame Academy student from the class of 2003. Katie and Nick performed the U2 song 'One' for the audience, BBC Points West and The Bristol Evening Post. See picture below.

The fact that they performed so well together having only met for the first time that evening and the fact that the duet was not even thought about until the evening is a credit to the both of them.

We were also treated to a solo performance from Nick, who sang 3 of his own songs plus 2 from Fame Academy and of course a solo performance from Katie. We also heard one of Katie's brand new songs.

Katie reached an exciting time in her career and was part of a group called UNLEASHED with its own Fan Club so we bowed out but kept the site operating as an archive to Katie's time between Fame Academy and Unleashed. We would like to be remembered for bringing Katie and songwriter Greig Watts together as well as supporting Katie through the ups and downs that the Music Industry has put her way. I'm sure you will join us in wishing Katie the very best of luck for the future.

Welcome to The Katie Lewis Official Fan Club. We all remember Katie during the Autumn of 2002 as a 'Student' in Fame Academy on BBC TV and saw her go through the 'Probation' process week after week.
